The Comet belt is a design that is intended for a 'Plate Buckle' , as demonstrated above with the vintage 'Harley Davidson' one .
The concept is that a customer can send in their plate buckle , with a minimal belt width of 40mm, then that buckle will get the Hawkmoth 'Comet' treatment .
The main structure of the belt being 4/5mm Devonshire Oak~Bark tanned leather , combined with the Veg~tanned Comet/flame details , all stitched in place by hand with waxed linen thread . The combination of two different types of leather will give contrasting tones as they age .
